Now on another note my 2012 camaro is having the same problem. They need to fix this issue cause it makes me irritated when stuff like this goes unsolved by a leading company. So if your mechanically inclined that's the best route. My buddy told me the GM parts have a chance at lasting a little longer but for that price I could replace them myself 3-4 times with auto zone or advance auto parts or oriellys equivalent. I went to local auto store and purchased both parts and replaced myself for roughly $200 something dollars compared to there $1100 dollar job. I know all this cause my buddy is a GM mechanic. Both sensors are prone to going out and even once replaced the replacements normally only last 2-4 yrs. The problem is the car is a "drive by wire" car meaning there's a sensor on ur pedal the communicates with the sensor on your throttle telling it where the pedals at and how much to open the throttle. I've been having the same issue with my car (service stabilitrak, traction control, engine power reduced). Accelerator pedal position sensor replacement! Easy Fix! Good luck and safe driving! Got it towed to the dealership and was told that it was out of bumper to bumper warranty and that it wouldn't be covered under the Powertrain warranty if it was the throttle body or any of the associated sensors.
